Northgate install many types of blinds, curtains and cubicle track and are able to come up with solutions for architects, contractors and end users be it healthcare, social housing or education.
This particular contract involved work to be carried out in a ward at a children’s hospital in Watford. It involved installing the Northgate Movatrack 100 and Antares Vertical Blinds which have proven to be very good products in both quality and appearance.
On this particular occasion we installed a crank operated Antares vertical blind in green Orion fabric which is one of the higher quality fabrics. Having a wide range of colours to choose from including red, blue, green etc., the client decided to go with green this time to brighten up the hospital environment and as you can see from the pictures, this definitely worked.
The blind was also anti-ligature which is particularly safe and useful in this kind of environment with children around and the consequent need to prevent accidents. The anti- ligature system ensures that, under excess load, the head-rail separates from the brackets leaving no remaining points of ligature. This system provides a highly effective method of saving the lives of service users and peace of mind for the staff, and it is the most recognised system in its field.
The Movatrack 100 is also available with the Anti-ligature system (Movatrack K100). It is mounted on magnetic brackets for 100% fail-safe anti-ligature functionality.
With the different ranges and brands it is generally fairly easy to find what you need as our products have been grouped in such a way that every range or brand is specifically suited to a particular environment. For example, curtain fabric in a hospital ward would come from the Ursa range. Having this system in place throughout our business should hopefully make your life easier when trying to find what is best suited to a specific situation.
